RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT A $2,700 DONATION FROM THE RANSOM FIDELITY CORPORATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN UNDERWATER COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR THE DIVE TEAM OF THE INGHAM COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

RESOLUTION #99-157

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office conducts underwater search and recovery operations; and

WHEREAS, this type of operation is not without risk and the safety of dive personnel can be maximized by the utilization of an underwater communication system; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office submitted a request to the Ransom Fidelity Corporation for funding a wireless underwater communication system; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office submitted a request to the Ransom Fidelity Corporation for such purchase.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners gratefully accepts the donation of $2,700 from the Ransom Fidelity Corporation for purchase of said underwater communication system.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners directs the Controller to make the necessary adjustments to the Ingham County Sheriff's Office 1999 Dive Team budget.
