INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO ADJUST THE CLASSIFICATIONS OF SEVERAL POSITIONS IN THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT

RESOLUTION #99-171

WHEREAS, several Nurse Assessor positions in the Health Department have been assigned to duties that do not require the advance nursing practice responsibilities; and

WHEREAS, two positions, that been held by long-term employees, are vacant and the bureau directors have recommended that the classification for the positions be changed to accommodate changing needs, and to provide for more flexibility and efficiency; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners adjusted the status of two positions in the Communicable Disease Control Unit in 1998 and one of the positions is now vacant and the CDC Supervisor is proposing to restore the original status of the two positions; and

WHEREAS, the Health Officer is recommending that these changes to the positions in the Health Department be implemented and advises that the recommended changes will be budget neutral.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes that following Nurse Assessor (ICEA Nursing N-2) positions be changed to Clinic Nurse (ICEA Nursing N-1) classifications effective August 1, 1999 and the incumbent employees will continue with their current salary grade as long as they occupy the same position:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that position HLHENV024, Information Coordinator/Emergency Planning Assistant (ICEA Professional 05) be classified as Sanitarian I (ICEA Professional 03) effective August 1, 1999.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the three-quarter time Community Health Representative III position HLHIMM008, (UAW TOPS E) be changed to full-time status effective August 1, 1999.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the three-quarter time Community Health Representative II position HLHIMM010, (UAW TOPS D) be changed to part-time status effective August 1, 1999.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Assistant Social Worker position HLHADU012, (ICEA Professional 03) be changed to two part-time Clinic Nurse (ICEA Nursing N-1) positions effective August 1, 1999.
