RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A TRANSFER OF ROBERT WOOD JOHNSON FOUNDATION GRANT FUNDS TO THE SOCIAL WELFARE FUND



RESOLUTION #99-177



WHEREAS, Ingham County is administering Access to Health Project, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation; and



WHEREAS, one of the activities of that Project is to provide financial support to the Neighborhood Network Center Board, which supports neighborhood network centers through the Lansing area; and



WHEREAS, Resolution No. 98-21, which accepts the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant also authorizes a subcontract with the City of Lansing to act as the fiduciary agent for the Neighborhood Network Center Board, and the City of Lansing has determined that it will not serve in that capacity and the Ingham County Family Independence Agency has subsequently advised that it will serve as the fiduciary, acting through the Social Welfare Fund; and



WHEREAS, the Health Officer has recommended that the Board of Commissioners authorize the transfer of funds from the Health Fund to the Social Welfare Fund.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Controller to transfer the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant funds, intended to support the operation of neighborhood network centers, from the Health Fund to the Social Welfare Fund according to the following schedule, based on the fiscal year of the Health Fund and the Social Welfare Fund:



FY 1998-99 $66,500

FY 1999-00 $70,000

FY 2000-01 $70,000
