RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACT WITH LANSING FOR EMERGENCY DISPATCH COMMUNICATION AND COMPUTER EQUIPMENT



RESOLUTION #99-180



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners has established a 911 Emergency Telephone Dispatch Services Fund for Management and System Improvements to the County emergency dispatch system; and



WHEREAS, the Lansing 911 Center working with their Communications and Data Processing companies have developed a proposal to upgrade their Computer Aided Dispatch equipment, replace their 911 Logging Recorder equipment, and replace the Telephone System equipment; and



WHEREAS, the 911 Advisory Committee is recommending the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approve this funding proposal.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the expenditure of up to $595,628 from the 911 Emergency Telephone Dispatch Services fund for Management and System Improvements for the Lansing 911 Center for the time period of July 1, 1999 through June 30, 2000.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairperson of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and the County Clerk are authorized to sign any necessary contract documents consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
