RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT A DONATION FROM DANSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

RESOLUTION #99-182

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office has made numerous presentations about the Canine Unit; and

WHEREAS, a presentation was made at the Dansville High School in May, 1999; and

WHEREAS, students at the Dansville High School were impressed with the presentation and decided to hold a fundraiser to make a donation to the Ingham County Sheriff's Office Canine Unit; and

WHEREAS, Dansville High School students raised $751.30 through a fundraiser and presented this money to the Ingham County Sheriff's Office Canine Unit; and

WHEREAS, the money would be targeted to construct an obstacle course for training for the Canine Unit.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves the acceptance of $751.30 from the Dansville High School students as a donation to the Canine Unit.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners thanks the Dansville High School students for their generous donation to the Ingham County Sheriff's Office Canine Unit.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Controller's Office to make the necessary adjustments in the Sheriff's Office 1999 Budget.
