RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN AGREEMENT WITH MSU WKAR-TV

RESOLUTION #99-203

WHEREAS, MSU WKAR-TV contracted with Ingham County in 1997 authorized by Resolution 97-165, and amended the Agreement in 1998, to obtain the services of the Office for Young Children to provide training and outreach services for WKAR-TV programming; and

WHEREAS, MSU WKAR-TV requests the extension of the services provided by the County during the period July 1, 1999 through June 30, 2000, and then on an ongoing basis; and

WHEREAS, the Health Officer recommends that the Board of Commissioners authorize the Agreement with MSU WKAR-TV.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes an Agreement with MSU WKAR-TV.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Agreement shall authorize outreach and training services to be provided through the Ingham County Health Department's Office for Young Children (OYC).

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that at the end of the agreement period, the Agreement shall renew for successive one year periods of July 1 through June 30, unless terminated by either of the two parties with 30 days written notice, or amended by mutual consent.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Agreement shall authorize the Board Chairperson to sign Attachments to the Agreement, which specify additional services, and the manner in which the County will be compensated for services.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Agreement shall have an Attachment specifying that during the period of July 1, 1999 through June 30, 2000 that MSU WKAR-TV will pay Ingham County $10,000 for the OYC training and outreach services.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the Agreement and Attachment after review by the County Attorney.
