RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT A BEQUEST FROM THE ESTATE OF HELEN G. PATTERSON

RESOLUTION #99-209

WHEREAS, during her lifetime, Helen G. Patterson was duly impressed with the services provided by the Paramedic Unit of the Ingham County Sheriff's Office; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Patterson is now deceased and her last will and testament provided for a significant monetary bequeath to the Paramedic Unit of the Ingham County Sheriff's Office; and

WHEREAS, a check has been received from the Estate of Helen G. Patterson for $25,500; and

WHEREAS, additional funds are anticipated.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the County Treasurer to accept this bequest on behalf of the Paramedic Unit of the Ingham County Sheriff's Office.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Attorney is directed to investigate and notify the County Controller and the Sheriff's Office of any conditions or restrictions associated with this bequest.
