RESOLUTION MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO THE CAPITAL

AREA DISTRICT LIBRARY BOARD

RESOLUTION #99-021

WHEREAS, a vacancy exists on the Capital Area District Library Board due to a resignation; and

WHEREAS, applicants interested in serving on this Board have been interviewed.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby appoints:

Alvin Whitfield, 1623 Boynton Drive, Lansing, 48917

to the Capital Area District Library Board to a term expiring April 15, 2000.

HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE:

The Human Services Committee was deadlocked on two candidates:

Karl Benghauser, 1804 Shubel Avenue, Lansing 48910 - Failed with Comms. Schmidt and Severino voting "yes", Comms. Stid and Smiley voting "no." Absent: Commissioner Czarnecki

Alvin Whitfield, 1623 Boynton Drive, Lansing 48910 - Failed with Comms. Smiley and Stid voting "yes" Comms. Severino and Schmidt voting "no". Absent: Commissioner Czarnecki.
