RESOLUTION HONORING MICHAEL J. HUTCHISON

RESOLUTION #99-213

WHEREAS, Michael Hutchison chose the Ingham County Medical Care Facility as his community project through the "Landmark Self Expression and Leadership" course in January, 1999; and

WHEREAS, Michael Hutchison recognizes and understands the need for older persons living in long term care facilities to be able to remain involved with nature and other favorite activities; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Hutchison volunteered countless hours to recruit additional volunteers, solicit contributions and organize fund raising activities; and

WHEREAS, his efforts raised over $20,000 which is being used to create a bird aviary, a berry path, a raised vegetable garden bed and wild flower fields for the benefit of the residents of the Ingham County Medical Care Facility; and

WHEREAS, Michael Hutchison's outstanding efforts to enhance the lives of the residents of the Ingham County Medical Care Facility are being recognized on September 9, 1999.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the members of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honor and congratulate Michael Hutchison for his success with this program.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board sincerely appreciates the time, commitment and energy he has given to the Ingham County Medical Care Facility and wishes him continued success in his future endeavors.
