RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE 1999 CAPITAL

IMPROVEMENT BUDGET FOR THE INGHAM COUNTY FAIR BOARD



RESOLUTION #99-56



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Fairgrounds is in need of moving and upgrading the infield arena and replacing a vehicle; and



WHEREAS, Resolution #93-56 reserved $150,000 of the Fair Boards retained earnings to be maintained in the Fair fund to be utilized, if necessary, to offset any unanticipated financial losses, but does not designate use for funds exceeding this amount; and



WHEREAS, the amount exceeding the $150,000 minimum in the retained earnings fund for 1997 was $64,910, $7,300 was authorized to be spent on new horse stalls per resolution #98-271, which leaves $57,610; and



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Fair Board has passed a motion to move and upgrade the infield arena at a cost of $50,000 and use the balance $7,610 for a replacement vehicle.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the amendment of the 1999 Capital Improvement Budget to include $50,000 to move and upgrade the infield arena and $7,610 for a replacement vehicle.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Controller is authorized to make the necessary budget adjustments.
