RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A COMPENSATION STUDY FOR MANAGERIAL

AND CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES



RESOLUTION #99-57



WHEREAS, Resolution #98-204 authorized a compensation study for managerial and confidential employees at a cost not to exceed $30,000; and



WHEREAS, Resolution #98-204 established a Steering Committee composed of two Commissioners, the Controller, the Human Resources Director, a representative of elected officials, a representative of the Courts, a department head who is appointed by the Board of Commissioners, and two confidential employees, and authorized the committee to solicit proposals and recommend a vendor which best meets the need of the County; and



WHEREAS, the committee is recommending the selection of O. William Rye & Company at a cost of $21,980 plus up to $3,000 in additional expenses, which may be necessary for additional reviews by Mr. Rye.



THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners authorizes the selection of O. William Rye & Company at a cost of $21,980 plus up to $3,000 in additional expenses that may be necessary for additional reviews by Mr. Rye.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the contract for these services, as recommended by the Controller and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
