RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING CIP FUNDS/PROJECTS AND SHERIFF'S OFFICE FUNDS TO BUILDING AUTHORITY TO BE PART OF THE JAIL KITCHEN PROJECT
RESOLUTION #99-70
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has authorized various Capital Improvement Projects at the Jail as part of its 1999 Budget; and
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office has identified additional funds to be used toward anticipated cost with the approved Kennel Project; and
WHEREAS, incorporation of these various projects into the Jail Kitchen Renovation Project currently being undertaken by the Building Authority will, 1) reduce costs, 2) allow work to be scheduled in a manner that will cause the least amount of disruption to the Sheriff's Office operations, 3) allow the work to be coordinated and supervised by the on site general contractor, and 4) will result in one contract covering the total project; and
WHEREAS, if funds are available at the project completion, construction of the mezzanine at the Co-Generation Facility will expand available storage space.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Controller is authorized to transfer the following approved project funds to the Building Authority:
1) Replace 350' sewer line at Jail, $70,000
2) Replace garage roof at Jail, $55,000
3) Parking lots at Jail, $20,000
4) Repair base of the garage wall, $5,500
5) Dog kennel construction, $8,500
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that $6,000 from 98 CIP carry over from Jail line item 101-30103-932000 and $1,700 from 98 CIP carry over from the metal detector budget for Jail is also anticipated to be transferred in order to fund a total of $16,200 for dog kennel construction.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, if funds are available at the end of the project, the Building Authority has the authorization to approve the completion of the addition to the mezzanine in the Co-Generation Building.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Building Authority to complete these projects as part of the Jail Kitchen Project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairperson of the Board and County Clerk are authorized to sign any contract documents consistent with this resolution subject to the approval as to form by the County Attorney.
