RESOLUTION TO APPOINT AN INGHAM COUNTY 911 ADVISORY COMMITTEE



RESOLUTION #99-72



WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners established an Ingham County 911 Advisory Committee consisting of Public Safety professionals to advise the Board of Commissioners on 911 emergency dispatch issues; and



WHEREAS, the various Public Safety Agencies have notified the Ingham County Board of Commissioners of their recommendations to represent them on the Ingham County 911 Advisory

Committee.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the appointment of the following representatives to serve on the Ingham County 911 Advisory Committee, effective the date of this resolution, for a three year period:



Lansing Police Department: Helen Perry-Buse

Lansing Fire Department: Greg K. Martin

E. Lansing or Meridian Township

or MSU Police Departments: Kevin Daley

East Lansing or Meridian Township

Fire Departments: Phillip C. Vorlander

North East Ingham Emergency Services Authority

being either the Williamson Community Fire and

Ambulance or Leroy Township Fire Departments: Cliff Dodson

Ingham County Fire Chiefs Association: Gene Tidd

Mason City Fire Department or Delhi Township Fire

Department or Lansing Township Fire Departments: Robert M. Hudson

Ingham County Sheriff's Office: James Reed

Michigan State Police: ex officio member



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the purpose of the Ingham County 911 Advisory Committee is to review and make recommendations to the Board of Commissioners for all major policy, planning, and capital improvement requests brought before the Ingham County Board of Commissioners for funding consideration through the 911 Emergency Services Millage and Telephone Services budget. The Committee will also give recommendations to the Board of Commissioners on all other aspects of Public Safety Dispatch functions as assigned to the Committee by the Board of Commissioners. The Committee is expected to work with the Directors of the Lansing 911 PSAP, East Lansing 911 PSAP, and North East Ingham Emergency Services Authority Secondary PSAP and all public safety agencies in Ingham County in developing these recommendations.
