RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE 1999 CORRECTIONAL TRAINING OFFICERS (CTO) GRANT
RESOLUTION #99-85
WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office applied for and has been approved to receive a Correctional Officers' Training grant from the Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the training is to enhance and develop correctional training officers, who in turn train new employees; and
WHEREAS, the amount of the grant is $4,838 with a match requirement of $3,335 (met through staff hours) for a total project cost of $8,173; and
WHEREAS, $2,520 of the grant is for Lodging Cost; and
WHEREAS, $510 of the grant is for Classroom and Equipment Rental; and
WHEREAS, $1,808 of the grant is for Materials and Printing Cost; and
WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office must commit 96 staff hours ($2,818), which will be devoted to instruction; and
WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office must commit 24 staff hours ($517), which will be devoted to program coordination.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves the acceptance of the Correctional Training Officer's (CTO) grant from the Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority in the amount of $4,838 for the time period of January 1, 1999 through December 31, 1999.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Sheriff's Office and the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves the in-kind matching funds of $3,335 from staff hours committed to instruction and coordination.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk to sign any necessary contract documents that are consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners directs the Controller to make the necessary budget adjustments in the Ingham County Sheriff's Office 1999 budget.
