RESOLUTION HONORING SUNSHINE LEANN MORGAN



RESOLUTION #99-90



WHEREAS, Sunshine Leann Morgan has served as a member of the Key Leader Policy Group of the Minority Over-Representation Project, a program of the Ingham County/City of Lansing Youth Violence Prevention Coalition; and



WHEREAS, as a member, Sunshine participated in planning, development and implementation of policies and programs to reduce this problem in our community; and



WHEREAS, Sunshine Leann Morgan will be graduating from Sexton High School with honors in June, 1999 and will be attending college in the fall; and



WHEREAS, as a student, she has been actively involved in student government, Helping Hands, and Upward Bound, as well other activities; and



WHEREAS, Sunshine has remained committed and involved in services to the community; and



WHEREAS, she has served on the Mayor of Lansing's Advisory Committee, served as Co-Chair of the Youth Progressive Action Committee of the Capital Region Community Foundation, has been actively involved with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Capital Area United Way Executive Board, CASA, Habitat for Humanity and Global Hopemakers Exchange Program.



THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honors Sunshine Leann Morgan for the many contributions she has made to the County of Ingham and its citizens and for serving as a positive role model for the youth in our community.



BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board wishes her the best in all of her future endeavors.
