ATTORNEY-MAGISTRATE KRISTA KRAUSE, is a part time attorney-magistrate, since May 1, 2005.  Magistrate Krause conducts informal hearings on civil infractions, primarily being assigned to our Meridian Township remote location.  She will also be able to conduct arraignments for both misdemeanor and felony charges, hearings in the Small Claims Division of the court, probable cause hearings and issues arrest warrants, probable cause hearings and issues search warrants, weddings and other duties as assigned by the Chief Judge of the Court.

        Previously, she served as the full time magistrate in the 54-A District Court for over 20 years.

        She is a member of the Michigan Association of District Court Magistrates, currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors.  She is a past president of the association and a past recipient of the association's Distinguished Service Award.
