ATTORNEY-MAGISTRATE THOMAS MATTERN, is a part time attorney-magistrate, appointed in June of 2006.  Magistrate Mattern conducts informal hearings on civil infractions, primarily being assigned to our Meridian Township and Lansing Township remote locations.  He will also be able to conduct arraignments for both misdemeanor and felony charges, hearings in the Small Claims Division of the court, probable cause hearings and issues arrest warrants, probable cause hearings and issues search warrants, weddings and other duties as assigned by the Chief Judge of the Court.

        Previously, he served as the part time magistrate in the 54-A District Court.
