| The 55th District Court has
jurisdiction in Ingham County, Michigan, except the cities of
Lansing and East Lansing. The judicial staff includes two
District Judges who are elected on nonpartisan ballots for a
term of six years. The judges have appointed a full time
attorney/magistrate and two part time attorney/magistrates to
assist in judicial duties. Remote locations for informal traffic hearings are also located at the Meridian Township Public Safety Building, 5151 Marsh Rd., Okemos, MI 48864 (across Central Park Drive from the Meridian Mall) and Lansing Charter Township Hall, 3209 West Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48917. The Administration of the court is divided into four main divisions: Traffic, Civil, Criminal and Probation. |
