WHAT WE DO...

The Drain Commissioner provides for construction, maintenance and improvement of county public storm drains.  He is responsible for the legal establishment and administration of drainage districts and assesses benefited property owners to pay for costs of the drain.  Other responsibilities include lake level control, soil erosion control (through the issuance of permits).  The Drain Commissioner also acts as the County Board of  Public Works and is also responsible for the review of proposed subdivision plats.  

Hours of Operation:  Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
