Feel good about contributing to quality care! The licensing procedure may sound complicated, but it's easier than you think. Becoming a licensed child care provider helps to ensure that your home offers a safe, healthy, stimulating environment for young children. We all want that for our children.
Our job is to help you receive all the training you need to get you going.
Once you're licensed, we can provide child care referrals to families who need
care.
Your first step is to order a packet from the state Licensing office. You can
click here to place your order.
You will need to follow the instructions in the licensing packet very
closely. One of your requirements is to obtain 10 hours of training in child
care in addition to CPR and First Aid. Licensing will provide you with a
6-hour orientation class, so you will need 4 more hours to make up your 10
prior to receiving your license. Our office teaches a wide array of classes
to help you meet this requirement. We also have a certified Red Cross
instructors who teach courses in CPR, First Aid.
