Community Agency Process Begins

Ingham County provides financial support to various community agencies that are primarily non-profit organizations. Often using volunteers, these organizations provide a variety of important services to residents across the County.  The Ingham County Board of Commissioners has an annual application process whereby eligible agencies may  identify how they propose to meet the County's strategic planning objective of Meeting Basic Needs, the amount of funds they are requesting, how they collaborate with other government or community agencies, and how the County appropriation will leverage other sources of funds to meet the organization’s and County's objectives. Priority consideration will be given to applicants that meet the objective of Meeting Basic Needs; however, if there are funds available, secondary consideration will be given to agencies serving vulnerable populations.

The annual allocation process is tied into the County annual budget process and starts with a Community Agency Application. All applications must be received by the July 25, 2014, 5:00 pm deadline.  The Ingham County Community Agency Application for 2015 funding is available at http:/co.ingham.org.  Applicants may download the application materials/packet/and criteria on the web by visiting http://co.ingham.org/.  Requests for an application packet or for additional information can be made via e-mail to [email protected] or by contacting Deb Bavery at (517) 676-7206.
