HEALTH CENTER NURSE #08-013 (2 - PART TIME POSITIONS) $22.04/hr. - $26.46/hr.
1- position in Women's Health Center
1 position in Adult Health Center/ Continuum of Care Center.
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Health Center administrator, the employee will be mainly responsible for telephone triage in the Health Center clinic. Will work with patients regarding referrals and managed care issues. Performs other related support to the medical providers in the clinic. May occasionally perform venipuncture and simple laboratory procedures such as pregnancy tests. Will perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions: With or without accommodations, this employee must be a licensed Registered Nurse and have the ability to perform nursing duties under state regulations. Must be able to use a standard telephone system to communicate with patients, laboratories, pharmacies, referral agencies and providers. Must be capable of completing written documentation for charts on all telephone encounters. Work requires moderate to frequent walking depending on the assigned tasks. Must be capable of standing, bending, sitting and writing throughout the day for intermittent periods of time depending on the assigned task. Must be able to push and pull objects of various weights up to 75 lbs. and including loaded wheel chairs. Stoops and bends to pull charts and files. Lifts and carries weights up to 20 lbs.
Degree / Experience: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan with 1 to 2 years previous related work experience. Ambulatory care / managed care experience helpful. Submit proof of a Michigan Nursing license, with resume, cover letter and application. Must submit college transcripts.
