2008 Grant Projects-
   The Friends of Ingham County Parks have applied for three grants to fund the following projects:

1. Accessible drinking fountain - Hawk Island Playground
2. Accessible pathway at Rayner Park from the playground to the restrooms
3. Lamppost lighting at the Lake Lansing Band Shell

Rayner Park         

In 2008 Rayner Friends plan to complete improvements to Rayner Park's Native Species Garden

Hawk Island Park   

The Friends of Hawk Island plan to participate in the National Recreation and Parks Association, "Take Me Fishing" program. Contact Willis Bennett, Park Manager, for more information.

The Friends of Hawk Island are considering hosting a Walk/Run to benefit Hawk Island Park.  If you are interested in helping coordinate this event contact Bob Novak

Band Shell Committee

The Lake Lansing Band Shell committee organizes and hosts concerts each Friday evening in June, July & August.
