PIT STOP Program and Feline Fix-it coming
July 26th and August 30th.
WE are currently scheduling for July 26 and August 30th.
Please call now to reserve a spot.  The contact person and phone number is Teresa Carter at Ingham County Animal Shelter - Phone Number:  517-676-8373.

Ingham County Animal Control received over 2200 dogs in 2009. Over 50 percent of those dogs were either pit bulls or pit bull mixes.

The number one dog to be stolen in Ingham County-- a pit bull.
The number one dog to suffer abused or abandonment-- a pit bull.
The number one dog most often used in dog fighting--a pit bull.
The number one loyal dog to it's owner - a pit bull.

In an effort to help these dogs and combat the over population of dogs in Ingham County, ICAC will be focusing on the proliferation of pit bulls in the Lansing area. The PIT STOP program offers low cost spay neuter assistance to low income pit bill owners who reside in the City of Lansing and Lansing Township areas. Because funding is limited the program is limited to these areas. This program is funded through donations and grants. The program provides spay/neuter and vaccinations. For more information call the spay neuter hotline at 517 676-8373 Help us help these very vulnerable animals by spaying and neutering and reporting animal abuse.

Upcoming dates for the Neighborhood Licensing and Vaccination Program:

Lansing Police Department - North Precinct - September 10th, 2010, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Mason Farm and Family - Mason - November 12, 2010 - 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
