GLASS STAINING GUIDELINES

GENERAL RULES AND POINTS JUDGE WILL LOOK FOR:

  1. Harmonizing colors -- colors should go together and background should go with picture and accent it - not detract from it.
  2. Outline should be even and uniform.
  3. Overall appearance -- how it looks close up and at a distance.
  4. Neatness -- glass should be free of fingerprints.  Foil should not be torn.
  5. Colors should be even and bright and no bleeding over of colors.  No foil showing through.
  6. Pictures should fit frame and be centered.
  7. Original designs should be marked on entry.  This means you drew your own - not from a pattern or coloring book.
