THE BARBARA GODBY RECOGNITION AWARD

The Barbara Godby Award will be awarded to a deserving 4-H goat project member that has completed the following requirement.  Bring the completed essay on the day your goats are checked in at the fair and be sure it is given to the goat superintendent.  The winner will be announced during the goat judging show.

To apply for this award - write a short essay (one page or less, double-spaced, typed) telling what you have accomplished and learned by doing the goat project with Ingham County 4-H clubs.  Include your involvement in your club and community.  This award is available to all members ages 9-19.  Please be sure to tell how many years you have been in the project, your age, what club you are involved in and put your name on the essay!

This award is being given in honor of Barbara Godby, a MSU 4-H Extension employee for many years.  It began in the year 2002 after she announced her retirement from the 4-H program.  Barbara enjoyed the 4-H members and encouraged their participation in many areas.  This award is given to continue that encouragement.
