MILLAGE PROPOSAL
CAPITAL AREA TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (CATA)
MILLAGE PROPOSITION
CITY OF LANSING, CITY OF EAST LANSING, MERIDIAN
TOWNSHIP,
LANSING TOWNSHIP and DELHI TOWNSHIP
Shall the public transportation authority, the
Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA), for continued service, as
provided for by Public Act 55 of 1963, as amended, levy additional taxes
(i) in an amount not to exceed 0.3 mill (that being
$0.30 per thousand dollars of taxable value) on real and personal
property located within CATA’s service area for the year 2007; (ii)
which amount would thereafter be replaced by an amount not to exceed 0.6
mill (that being $0.60 per thousand dollars of taxable value) on real
and personal property located within CATA’s service area for the year
2008; (iii) which amount would thereafter be replaced by an amount not
to exceed 0.8 mill (that being $0.80 per thousand dollars of taxable
value) on real and personal
property located within CATA’s service area for the
year 2009; and, (iv) which amount would thereafter be replaced by an
amount not to exceed 1.0 mill (that being $1.00 per thousand dollars of
taxable value) on real and personal property located within CATA’s
service area for the years
2010 and 2011? If approved and levied, this millage
would generate approximately $1,864,334 in 2007.

MERIDIAN CHARTER TOWNSHIP
LOCAL STREET MAINTENANCE MILLAGE PROPOSITION
Shall there be an increase of 0.45 mills ($0.45 on each $1,000 of
taxable value) in excess of the limitation on the amount of taxes
that may be assessed on all property in the Charter Township of
Meridian, Ingham County, Michigan levied for a period of eight (8)
years, 2007 through 2014 inclusive, for the preservation, maintenance
and resurfacing of local streets within the Township, raising an
estimated $758,700 in the first year the millage is levied, to be
disbursed to the governing road agency ?
