The Ingham County Clerk's Office only has Birth Certificates for
individuals who were born in Ingham County.
Birth records are not public
records and can only be obtained by the individual or the parents of the
individual. You may order the record in person and receive the copy
while you wait; or you can order via fax or through the
mail and the birth record(s) will be mailed to you in 5 to 7 business
days. Please provide the name at birth, date of birth, place of birth, father's
name, and mother's maiden name. You must also provide a copy of photo identification
(driver's license preferred) whether applying in person, via fax or
through the mail.
Effective
January 3, 2006 certified copy fees are $15.00 for the first copy and $8.00 for
additional copies of the same record.
If you would like to
order a birth certificate by fax you must pay with a Visa or MasterCard.
