
Description:
The health of the community will be enhanced by promoting accessible quality physical and mental health care at an affordable cost, especially for particularly vulnerable population groups.
Medical Care Facility services will be evaluated on long-term implications of the County's aging population, legislative changes, staffing and facility needs.
Within available resources, regional efforts to address the problems of substance abuse shall be supported.
The health of the community will be enhanced by assuring that the capacity exists to identify behaviors that contribute to chronic diseases and conditions and to develop strategies, including prevention and education, to encourage modification of these behaviors.
The capacity will exist to identify health problems in the community; to develop appropriate action plans for addressing them; and to monitor and evaluate the results.
