The Ingham Conservation District was organized under the provision of Act 297. Its primary mission is to promote stewardship of natural resources, including land water, habitat and plant communities. The District is actively involved in protecting environmentally sensitive lands and water quality by providing technical assistance in conservation, offering educational programs to both youth and adults and sponsoring local natural resource programs. Its five member board of directors is elected by landowners at the Annual Meeting. Each board member serves a three year term.
