Recent News at the District Court:
** WEAPONS SCREENING. Screening devices have been installed at the court and all entering the building must pass through the screening device as directed by court security officers, as a condition of entry. Court Security officers will be manning this station. An x-ray machine has been installed for briefcases, wallets, purses and other containers.
** COURT ADMINISTRATOR RESIGNS. Anethia Brewer has resigned from the 55th District Court, to assume the position of Court Administrator with the 54A District Court in Lansing. James B. Pahl has been appointed interim court administrator until a permanent replacement can be retained. Magistrate Tom Mattern has assumed full time Magistrate duties in Mason during this interim period.
