Ingham County has hosted the Ingham County Fair for over 150 years. This event involves families from all over the county from Lansing to Stockbridge. The Fair plays a very important role in the community and the county. To have a successful Fair, the Fair Board works very closely with the 4-H Clubs in the area, giving young people the opportunity to display skills learned through their club, and to demonstrate their work at the Fair.
The Fair Board is also responsible for the maintenance of the fairgrounds and the rental of facilities during the off-season, including horse shows, sports shows, trade and craft shows, all bringing thousands of visitors to the region.
