Members are appointed by the County Board of Commissioners for four year terms. The Fair Board is responsible for the annual Ingham County Fair held in Mason. The Fair Board has other duties as specified by County Board of Commissioners resolution. Members receive per diem, plus a stipend during fair week per shift worked. The Fairgrounds are maintained and rented during the off-season, including hosting horse shows, craft shows, RV shows and more.

Each year the Fair Board supports an amazing group of individuals who weed, mulch and plant beautiful annual and perennial flowers throughout the grounds. The Fair Board is looking for additional volunteers to help maintain the various flower beds on Fairgrounds.
