We regret to inform you
that because
of funding cuts from the State of Michigan, the Ingham
County Fair will not pay any premium money for any open
class or 4-H entries at the 2009 Fair. Your entries
will still receive ribbons, rosettes or medals and
traditional bragging rights.
Ingham County is preparing for its 155th
Annual Fair. This event involves families from all over the
county from Lansing to Stockbridge. The Fair plays a very
important role in the community and the county. To have a
successful Fair, the Fair Board works very closely with the
4-H Clubs in the area and gives young people from age 5 to
19 the opportunity to display skills learned through their
club, and to earn recognition for their work at the Fair.
The Fair Board also maintains the fairgrounds and the
rents the facilities during the off-season for horse shows,
sports shows, R. V. shows, rabbit shows, flea markets and
craft shows, all bringing thousands of visitors to the
region.
