OYC Enhanced Child Care Referrals

OYC provides child care referrals to the general public under a contract from the Michigan Department of Human Services. OYC also provides enhanced child care referral services to several groups in the Lansing area.

Enhanced referral services provides parents with several additional services beyond the general public referrals. Enhanced referrals provide parents with confirmed vacancies on each child care referral, more in depth consultations, additional written materials, resource development and follow-up calls.

OYC has agreements to provide Enhanced Child Care Referral Services for the following groups:

• Active Duty Military Family or activated/deployed National Guard or Reserve family -  Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood
• Lansing Board of Water and Light
• Lansing Community College (students)
• UAW-GM, Lansing SPO (hourly employees)
• Work First and DHS Project Zero participants
• and others.
