... Please Note ...

Parking conflicts caused by Special Events held at Hawk Island Park
require the occasional closing of the Soldan Dog Park.

The Dog Park will be Closed for the events listed below:

Food & Fitness 5K ~ March 29th from 8:00am to 12:00pm
Michigan Autism society Run/Walk ~ April 5th from 8:00am to 2:00pm
CACS Miles for Smiles Run/Walk ~ April 19th from 8:00am to 2:00pm

Dog Park attendance has been much greater than anticipated.  Efforts are being made to
secure additional parking in order to provide a long term solution that will render the necessity
for temporary closings unnecessary.

Location:

The Soldan Dog Park is located just north of Hawk Island County Park in Scott Woods Park (a City of Lansing park).  The dog park's main entrance is through Hawk Island County Park. You may also access the park from the west off the River Trail in Scott Woods.

Drive to the very north end of Hawk Island parking area, and then walk a short distance (with your dog(s) on-leash), past the Hawk Island Maintenance Building, to the main entrance of the Soldan Dog Park.
