Forgotten Man Ministries
Correctional facility inmates and officers are served by the Forgotten Man Ministries, headquartered in Grand Rapids , Michigan . Forgotten Man Ministries was founded in 1966 and serves 32 county jails with a staff of 34 Chaplains. The Ingham County Correctional Facility has had a full time Chaplain since 1993.
The Ministry, which is officially recognized by the Michigan Sheriff's Association, is supported by local churches, individuals, and businesses. The Jail Chaplain, by his personal ministry, supervision of volunteers, and coordination of local church efforts, provides a comprehensive spiritual program.
