This November Ingham County voters will be asked to consider something called a “separate tax limitation” for the County, general law townships and the Intermediate School District. The purpose of the separate tax limitation proposal on the ballot for the November 7, 2017 General Election is to re-establish the maximum operating tax levy for the County, general law townships and intermediate school district. As a result of Proposal A and Headlee, the maximum operating levy has been rolled back over several years.
