Ingham County Seeking Candidates to Fill Upcoming Vacancy on Board

The Ingham County Board of Commissioners announced the process for making an appointment to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Commissioner Debbie De Leon, who was elected to serve as Vice-Chairperson of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians in northern Michigan.     

Applications with resumes’ will be accepted until Friday, August 9, 2013 at 5 p.m. Applications are available online by clicking here, or by contacting the Board of Commissioners’ Office at (517) 676-7200.  The Board of Commissioners’ Democratic Caucus will interview candidates for the position on the afternoon of August 27, 2013 and will recommend an applicant for appointment to the full Board of Commissioners at its August 27, 2013 meeting.

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must be registered voters in one of the following City of Lansing precincts: City of Lansing Ward 1, Precincts 1 and 2, Ward 4, Precincts 39, 40, 41, 42, 43. (View map of District 4).
