WHAT WE DO...
Ingham
County representatives on the Capital Region Airport Authority
are appointed by the Board Chairperson for four year terms.
The City of Lansing representatives are appointed by the Mayor
of the City of Lansing and confirmed by the Lansing City Council.
The Capital Region Airport Authority operates the Capital City
Airport and Mason Jewett Field, a general aviation airport located
in Mason, and may acquire control over any additional airports
not already in existence within the participating region. In
addition to approved levy of up to 3/4 mill, the Authority receives
operating funds from revenue produced by operating the Airport
and from Federal grants.
