Area Rail Council members are appointed by the Board Chairperson
for two year terms. The Council is responsible for acquiring,
operating, maintaining and updating rail passenger facilities
in the Greater Lansing area. Ingham County contributes approximately
30 per cent of the Council's funding. whose operating costs
are not large since there is no full time staff or facilities.
